About the role
AcquityNode LLC is hiring a Network Administrator at our Sacramento, CA office. You will install, configure, support, and administer our local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), data communications network, operating systems, and physical and virtual servers. You will monitor network performance to verify the integrity and availability of hardware, network resources, and server systems, analyze resource consumption to determine where adjustments or upgrades are needed, and diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex hardware, software, and network issues. You will plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures including firewalls, virus protection software, and email security applications; perform regular data backups and manage disaster recovery operations; review system logs; design, configure, and test computer hardware, networking software, and operating system software; and assign, update, and manage user access permissions and credential controls.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field
- 24 months of experience in Network Administrator, Systems Analyst, Network Support Engineer, or a related IT infrastructure occupation, including 24 months of experience with:
- Configuring and maintaining enterprise network infrastructure, including local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN)
- Installing, configuring, and troubleshooting network routing and switching protocols (such as BGP, OSPF, or VLANs)
- Implementing and managing network security protocols, firewalls, and VPN connections
- Monitoring network performance and system logs using standard industry tools to ensure uptime and data integrity
- Willingness to travel to unanticipated client locations throughout the United States (one to four times per year) for temporary assignments
